Song of the Peonies
Form: Nonet

Late May, those jeweled-throat peonies,
with notes poised in verse unrehearsed,
swell forth with grandeur as I
bathe in pools of pearls and
lace with the pinkness
of their breath on
my brow to
drown my
cares.
